This month flew by, but I managed to capture some adventures nevertheless. What I love about this photo series is that you can watch time go by on our evening stroll. The pictures become darker as the sun sets, both in lighting and subject. The best part is that I remember so many details of that walk. I didn’t have phone notifications distracting me from capturing the moment in my mind or with these digicam snapshots.
I remember turning in a new direction to walk by the closed-down pizza place and coming down to the waterfront to walk across the sand. A mushroom watched us walking back to the sidewalk. Grant let me piggyback ride across a tall patch of grass. Sparks from tossed rocks dazzled across our path as we walked along the railroad tracks.
A few weeks later, my camera pops up again in Fargo and Winnipeg. I chose to keep the vertical photos sideways in this series because, ultimately, that is how they appear in the camera display when scrolling through. This is the experience I am trying to replicate on the Unstagram.
