It’s been a long time coming…
This trip has been on my bucket list for over five years, but I’m the type that when I say I’m going to do something, I make it happen. When Minjeong (Mimi) moved to South Korea after we graduated High School, we talked often about how I had to visit her. A few months back, the stars aligned and I had a direct flight from MSP to HND taking off on October 15. When Mimi picked me up at the Haneda Airport, it was like not a day had passed. From there, we were off on our whirlwind adventures through Tokyo and Seoul.

Tokyo Food Tour
As with any trip, food was part of the destination. Take a mouthwatering peek at what I ate and how I’m trying to recreate it back in Minneapolis.
Shopping Spree
From cat-themed gift shops to a 1am frenzy through the 7 levels of Don Quijote, the girlies shopped ’till we dropped. Take a look at the haul.
Culture Shocked, When Can I Go Back?
This trip was life changing. Week’s later I’m still shocked at how much I saw in such a short time. Here are my take-aways and must-sees.
